God Speak To Me

A man whispered, "God, speak to me."
And a meadowlark sang.
But, the man didn't hear.

Then the man yelled, "God, speak to me."
Thunder rolled across the sky.
But, the man didn't listen.

The man looked around and said, "God, let me see you."
And the stars shined brightly.
But the man didn't notice.

And the man shouted, "God, show me a miracle."
And a life was born.
But the man didn't know.

So the man cried out in despair, "Touch me God, and let me know you are here."
Whereupon, God reached down and touched the man.
But, the man brushed the butterfly away and walked on.

So remember, don't miss out on a blessing because it isn't packaged the way that you expect.
Take notice of the blessing around you.

Wash Day..

Monday (Wash Day)
Lord, help me wash away all my selfishness and vanity,
so I may serve you with perfect humility through the week ahead.

Tuesday (Iron Day)
Dear Lord, help me iron out all the wrinkles of prejudice i have collected through the years
so that I may see the beauty in others.

Wednesday (Mending Day)
O God, help me mend my ways
so I will not set a bad example for others.

Thursday (Cleaning Day)
Lord Jesus, help me to dust out all the many faults I have been hiding
in the secret corners of my heart.

Friday (Shopping Day)
O God, Give me the grace to shop wisely so I may purchase eternal.

Saturday (Cooking Day)
Help me, my Saviour, to brew a big kettle of brotherly love
and serve it with clean, sweet bread of human kindness.

Sunday (The Lord's Day)
O God, I have prepared my house for you.
please come into my heart
so I may spend the day and the rest of my life in your presence.

The Best of Friends

The best of friends,
can change a frown
into a smile
when you feel down.

The best of friends,
will understand
your little trials
and lend a hand.

The best of friends,
will always share
your secret dreams
because they care.

The best of friends,
worth more than gold
give all the love
a heart can hold.

If I Could

If i could catch a rainbow
I would do it just for you.
And share with you its beauty
on the days you're feeling blue.

If i could build a mountain
You could call your very own.
A place to find serenity.
A place to be alone.

If i could take your troubles
I would toss them in the sea.
But all these things I'm finding
are impossible for me,

I cannot build a mountain
Or catch a rainbow fair
But let me be what I know best,
a friend that's always there.

Friendship

Friendship is a priceless gift that cannot be bought or sold
but its value is far greater than the mountain made of gold.
For gold is cold and lifeless, it can neither see nor hear.
And in the time of trouble, its power less to cheer-
it has no ears to listen
nor heart to understand.
It cannot bring you comfort or reach out a helping hand.
So when you ask God for a gift,
be thankful if He sends not diamonds, pearls or riches
but the love of real true friends.

Be Thankful

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don't know something,
for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you're grow.

Be thankful for your limitations,
because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for your mistakes.
They will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you're tired and weary,
because it means you've made a difference.

It's easy to be thankful for good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles,
and they can become your blessings.
